🔁 Return & Cancellation Policy – Weaves of Ganges

At Weaves of Ganges, each saree is a reflection of legacy and handwoven craftsmanship. Slight variations in weave, color, or texture are natural in handcrafted products — and a mark of authenticity, not defects.

We accept returns or exchanges only under specific circumstances, as outlined below.

❌ Cancellations

  • You may cancel your order before it is shipped, provided no customizations (like tassels, fall, edging/pico, or polish) have been added.

  • Once customized or shipped, the order cannot be cancelled.

  • Eligible cancellations will be refunded within 2–3 working days to the original payment method.

🚚 When NOT to Accept Delivery

If the outer packaging appears torn or damaged, please do not accept the parcel.
Contact us immediately via WhatsApp or email with photos of the package.

🔄 Returns & Exchanges – Eligibility

We allow returns/exchanges only in the following cases:

  • Wrong product sent

  • Damaged item received

  • Manufacturing defect (not related to handloom irregularities)

⚠️ Non-Returnable Products

  • Sarees with customizations (tassels, phundana, pico, fall, net, polish)

  • Made-to-order or pre-order items

  • Sarees priced above ₹20,000

  • Slight color differences due to screen settings or lighting

  • Cash on Delivery (COD) orders that are refused upon delivery — in such cases, advance payments will not be refunded.

⏰ Return/Exchange Process

  • You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Provide your:

    • Order ID

    • Description of the issue

    • Clear photographs

If your return is approved:

  • The saree must be unused, unwashed, in original condition with all tags

  • You must ship it back to us within 8–10 working days

  • After inspection, we will process your refund/store credit/exchange within 2–3 working days

💰 Deductions on Return

  • In case of a return (not exchange), a 10% restocking/handling fee will be deducted from the product cost before refund.
